After Team Sonic Racing's debut on consoles and PC earlier this year, a mobile version of the title has arrived to Apple Arcade. While it's not technically "Team Sonic Racing" as the game is just called Sonic Racing, all locations, Wisps and characters are from the console game, even the team-based mechanics made it in.
Not dissimilar to other Sonic mobile games, Sonic Racing features an RPG-like progression system where players will unlock and upgrade new characters and Wisps over time. Also, while it features the same locations as the console title, the track design is completely different to make it more fit for a mobile title: they're shorter, feature virtually no shortcuts and simple layouts. This can be a little disappointing for players (especially on platforms like the Apple TV) expecting a deeper experience, as this seems like a game to play on short bursts more than something to play for hours and hours like Team Sonic Racing.
Still, if we compare it to SEGA Hardlight's previous mobile games, there's quite the jump from Sonic Forces Speed Battle to this, and considering the excellent support SEGA Heroes has had so far this game will likely be getting better as time goes on.
