At the Tokyo Game Show, a few japanese media outlets have covered the game with brand new gameplay footage in which we've been able to see the full list of mini-games included in this rerelease. When the game releases next month, you'll be able to play:
- Monkey Target
Classic Monkey Ball minigame, but sadly is just as limited as it was on the Wii-release.
- Whack-A-Mole
Regular whack-a-mole minigame.
- Hammer Throw
Spin around and throw your hammer as far as you can.
- Hurdle Race
Roll as fast as you can in a hurdle race.
- Slingshot
Use a slingshot to shoot your Monkey, depending on what you hit you'll get points.
- Monkey Snowboard
Race against 3 other Monkeys in 3 different tracks in a snowboard race.
- Hovercraft Battle
Crash other hovercrafts to get as many points as you can!
- See-saw Ball
Rotate platforms to roll your monkey to the bottom of the stage while getting as many points as you can.
- Space Monkey Attack
Shoot aliens with a spaceship, but don't get hit!
Unfortunately, it seems like series-classics like Monkey Bowling did not make the cut into this version of the game, and all of these minigames are just as basic as they were on the Wii version unfortunately. The better controls new Decathlon Mode should make them more enjoyable, though!
